Jackson Township is entrusted with the care and maintenance of three local cemeteries, in accordance with Indiana state law, which designates township trustees as responsible for the upkeep of cemeteries within their jurisdiction.
Cemeteries are more than resting places they are historic records of the families and individuals who built our community. The township is committed to preserving the dignity, safety, and appearance of these sacred spaces.

Also known as Jole Cemetery or Williams Cemetery, Boles-Williams Cemetery is located on State Road 252, just west of Morgantown.

Located on Nast Chapel Road in rural Jackson Township, Gerholt Cemetery is a peaceful, open-space burial site. It is small in size and surrounded by woods, providing a quiet and respectful setting for remembrance.

Nast Chapel Cemetery is located near the intersection of Old Morgantown Road and Nast Chapel Road. This historic cemetery reflects the deep-rooted heritage of the township’s early families.
